Description:

The Technical Assistance mission to the General Direction of the Budget in Mali contributed to the modernisation of the budget management through the better training of the main actors concerned by the budgetary aspects (heads of National Direction of the Budget, Administrative and financial directors of ministries, managers of the institutions of the Republic of Mali, researchers associated with the work on budget programmes, etc.) the appropriate methodology to enable them on the one hand to use the logical framework approach to design the budget programmes and, on the other hand, to give them the necessary skills to evaluate those programmes periodically.

The following services were provided:
• To assess the existing situation (context, objectives, methodologies.)
• To prepare training sessions corresponding to user needs
• To organise this training
• To prepare adequate manuals and methodological guides for the logical framework approach adapted to the budget of the programmes and to their evaluation.
